In the 1970's the Jagermeister Porsche 935 was dominating the world of GT Racing with no worthy adversary in sight. Two brothers, Manfred and Erwin Kremer, stepped up to the challenge and by 1979 the K3 was conceived. This diecast Porsche measures about 12 inches long and is truly authentic. The Porsche 935 K3 is the third in a line of 935 variants developed by Kremer Racing, and remains one of the most famous race cars designed to this day. Most identifiable by its unique body configuration which has be perfectly replicated in this diecast model. The real Kremer 3 (K3) had a twin-turbocharged, 3.2 liter flat six-cylinder motor producing upwards of 740 to 800bhp. That much horsepower and the Kremers' desire to shed weight by implementing over 100 upgraded lighter parts. All these changes gave the previous 935 a worthy adversary at the track. After all of this fine tuning, the new 935 K3 was ready for the 1979 Zolder round of the German Sports Car Championship. Klaus Ludwig was able to convincingly beat out may other 935s in this debut as well as 10 other victories that season alone. Despite its fantastic track record, it is said that only 13 complete 935 K3s were ever produced by Kremer.
