This is a Multi-Blade (2,3,4-blade) Digital IntelliTach Tachometer. *Additional Technical Information Will Be Added As It Becomes Available.** Some Important Differences Added to the IntelliTach over the standard Tach are: Improved optics and sensor. A digital microprocessor that safeguards accuracy and provides several nice functions like: It can be set to automatically read the type of prop you use most, whether it is a 2-, 3- or 4-blade style. It "remembers" the last three readings, so you don't have to. It shuts itself OFF after 5 minutes to save power. More LCD display flips up to a comfortable reading angle.

Because of its sensitivity, the unit does not know whether it is looking at a propeller or an incandescent or fluorescent light, which typically strobes at 60 cycles per second or 3600 cycles per minute. When set for 2-blades it will read 360 or 3600, 3-blades: 240 or 2400 and 4-blades: 180 or 1800. This is a quick way to test the calibration. In direct sunlight this will read zero when turned ON.
